Terms of Service

Part Beacon is an information aggregation and alert service for aircraft and helicopter parts leads. It is not a certified parts dealer, broker, repair station, maintenance organization, or airworthiness authority.

Important aviation notice: Part Beacon does not verify airworthiness, serviceability, traceability, regulatory compliance, ownership, export status, or installability of any listed item. Every lead must be independently verified by the buyer and qualified aviation professionals before purchase, installation, or operational reliance.

1. Service description

Part Beacon collects, organizes, indexes, and summarizes publicly available or user-provided parts leads, saved searches, watch requests, and email alerts. Inventory Index and Parts Alert results are convenience tools to help users identify possible leads faster. They are not offers to sell, inspection reports, certifications, appraisals, or professional aviation advice.

2. Aggregator only; no certified dealer role

Part Beacon does not own, stock, sell, reserve, ship, install, inspect, overhaul, certify, or release aircraft parts. Part Beacon is not acting as a certified parts dealer, FAA/EASA approved maintenance organization, repair station, design organization, production approval holder, air carrier, or airworthiness representative. Any transaction is strictly between the user and the applicable seller, supplier, marketplace, broker, or other third party.

3. No airworthiness or documentation verification

Listings, categories, prices, locations, availability, labels, confidence scores, and alert matches may be incomplete, delayed, duplicated, stale, incorrect, or withdrawn. Part Beacon does not verify FAA, EASA, Transport Canada, CAA, OEM, export-control, customs, chain-of-custody, incident-history, teardown, life-limited-part, traceability, conformity, or airworthiness documentation. Users must verify all documents and suitability independently before acting.

4. User responsibility and aviation documentation

You are solely responsible for determining whether any part found through Part Beacon is suitable for your aircraft, operation, jurisdiction, and intended use. Before purchase, reservation, installation, resale, import/export, or operational reliance, you must use qualified aviation maintenance, procurement, regulatory, legal, customs, insurance, and technical professionals as appropriate.

At minimum, users should independently verify applicable documentation such as FAA Form 8130-3, EASA Form 1, Transport Canada or other release certificates, OEM certificates of conformity, serviceable tags, teardown reports, logbook evidence, serial-number traceability, life-limited-part records, AD/SB compliance, export/import eligibility, seller authority, and any aircraft-specific fitment or configuration requirements.

5. Email signups, saved searches, and consent

By creating an account, saving a search, or requesting Parts Alert emails, you consent to Part Beacon processing your submitted information to operate the service, send account/login emails, deliver requested alerts, maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve search quality. You may unsubscribe from marketing or non-essential alert emails where an unsubscribe mechanism is provided, and you may request account deletion or correction using the contact route published by Part Beacon.

6. Privacy and data protection

Part Beacon is intended to handle personal information in a privacy-conscious way consistent with Canadian PIPEDA principles and, where applicable, GDPR-style transparency, access, correction, deletion, portability, consent withdrawal, and objection rights. The Privacy Policy explains the categories of data collected, purposes of processing, retention, safeguards, third-party providers, analytics, email delivery, and user rights.

7. Accounts, access, and termination

Part Beacon may refuse, suspend, limit, or terminate access, accounts, saved searches, alerts, or features at any time where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, operational reliability, non-payment, inaccurate information, misuse, excessive automated use, suspected scraping, source-protection concerns, or violation of these Terms. Part Beacon may also modify, pause, or discontinue features during early launch or maintenance.

8. Prohibited use

9. Third-party sources and links

Part Beacon may summarize or link to third-party websites, sellers, marketplaces, or public information sources. Those sources are independent of Part Beacon. Part Beacon is not responsible for third-party content, availability, pricing, documentation, conduct, payment terms, shipping, export compliance, or disputes.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Part Beacon, Aceon Data Recovery, owners, operators, contractors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, punitive, economic, operational, aviation, regulatory, or business losses arising from or related to use of the service, including inaccurate or stale listings, duplicate leads, missed alerts, unavailable sources, email delivery failure, transaction disputes, documentation defects, non-airworthy or counterfeit parts, installation decisions, aircraft downtime, lost revenue, loss of use, loss of data, regulatory findings, customs/export issues, or reliance on any alert, label, search result, or listing.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Part Beacon disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, regulatory compliance, airworthiness, serviceability, traceability, and suitability for installation or operation.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Part Beacon, Aceon Data Recovery, owners, operators, contractors, affiliates, and service providers from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the service, your saved searches or submitted information, your purchase or use of any part found through the service, your failure to verify FAA/EASA/Transport Canada/OEM or other applicable documentation, your regulatory/export/customs obligations, your installation or operational decisions, your violation of these Terms, or your dispute with any third party.

13. Acceptance

By using Part Beacon, browsing Inventory Index, creating an account, saving a Parts Alert, clicking an email login link, or receiving alerts, you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
